Islam and Wealth — A Balanced View
Islam does not discourage earning wealth. In fact, the Quran encourages economic activity:
"And when the prayer is ended, disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty." — Surah Al-Jumu'ah 62:10
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was himself a merchant. Many of his companions — Abu Bakr, Uthman, Abdur Rahman ibn Awf — were successful businessmen.
What Islam regulates is how you earn and grow your wealth. The money itself is not the issue — the means and methods matter.
